About
Typhoon 2 is a family of open large language models built specifically for the Thai language by SCB 10X, the venture arm of Thailand's SCBX Group. It ships in five sizes (1B, 3B, 7B, 8B, and 70B) as both pretrained and instruction-tuned variants, with up to 128K context length and strong results on Thai benchmarks including ThaiExam and IFEval-TH.
The release also introduced research previews of Typhoon2-Audio and Typhoon2-Vision, extending the family toward multimodal Thai AI. Models are released under Apache 2.0 and hosted on Hugging Face under the scb10x organization, with the smaller 1B and 3B variants practical for on-device inference.
