TRELLIS.2
Open 4B model turning a single image into a PBR-textured 3D asset in seconds.
About
TRELLIS.2 is Microsoft's successor to TRELLIS, a 4-billion-parameter open-source model that converts a single 2D image into a fully textured 3D asset in roughly three seconds at base resolution. It uses a native o-voxel representation with a rectified-flow transformer and adds a dedicated texturing stage that produces PBR materials (roughness, metallic, opacity maps) directly, handling open surfaces and hollow interiors that break many other single-image-to-3D tools.
The model is MIT licensed, with code on GitHub and weights on Hugging Face as microsoft/TRELLIS.2-4B, plus a live demo. Note on dating: the release date here is era-level (December 2025, from the arXiv paper 2512.14692); the open-source release followed around the same period.
