Meshy 5
The fifth generation of Meshy's AI 3D platform: sharper geometry, real PBR textures, and 500+ animations.
About
Meshy 5 launched August 26, 2025 (preview announced earlier that summer) as the major successor to Meshy 4. The release notes read like a production checklist: automatic metallic/roughness/normal/base-color PBR maps, stronger image-to-3D alignment with multi-view inputs, fewer distorted or incomplete outputs, smarter prompts, real-time texture editing, and a 500+ animation library for rigged characters.
Meshy is one of the few AI 3D companies with verifiable scale: the company reports over 3 million creators and 30 million generated assets, and Andreessen Horowitz named it the only 3D tool in its list of most popular AI tools among game developers. It is a closed commercial platform — text or image in, downloadable asset out — with a public API and credits-based pricing. As with every commercial 3D generator here, there is no independent benchmark table; the quality evidence is user adoption and third-party coverage.
