GigaChat is Sber's Russian-language generative AI family, launched in 2023 as a general assistant and steadily expanded since. GigaChat 2.0 (2025) added multimodal input and a Lite/Pro/Max tiering for business use, and 2026 brought GigaChat Ultra with a reasoning mode plus GigaChat 3.5 Ultra, a 432B mixture-of-experts flagship that Sber open-sourced under MIT on HuggingFace.
It is Russia's most widely deployed domestic assistant, embedded in Sber's apps, smart speakers, and business APIs, with deep Russian cultural and business context.
