C4AI Command A

C4AI Command A is an open-weights research release of a 111 billion parameter model from Cohere and Cohere For AI, released in March 2025. It targets demanding enterprise use: agentic tool use, multilingual generation, reasoning, summarization, and retrieval-augmented generation.

The model offers a 256K context window and is positioned as delivering strong performance with modest hardware requirements, deployable on two GPUs. It is distributed under CC-BY-NC with an acceptable use policy, so commercial use needs a separate arrangement.
