AceGPT
The first open Arabic LLM covering the full pre-train, SFT, and RLAIF pipeline.
About
AceGPT was introduced in September 2023 (arXiv:2309.12053) by researchers from CUHK-Shenzhen, the Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data, and KAUST. It was the first open-source Arabic large language model to cover the entire pipeline — localized continued pre-training on LLaMA-2, supervised fine-tuning on Arabic-native instructions, and reinforcement learning from AI feedback with a reward model tuned to local culture and values.
The family spans 7B and 13B sizes in base and chat variants, and set state-of-the-art among open Arabic models on Arabic Vicuna-80, AlpacaEval, MMLU, and the authors' ACVA localization benchmark. Weights are public; as a LLaMA-2 derivative, usage inherits the LLaMA 2 Community License terms.
