About
Storybook Skills are the official agent skills shipped by the Storybook team inside the storybookjs/mcp repository. Four skills cover the UI workflow: stories (invoked before creating, editing, or deleting components, stories, styles, or design tokens), storybook-init (add Storybook to a project), storybook-setup (generate preview config and real-component stories), and storybook-upgrade (move to Storybook 10.5 or newer). They ship through the official Claude Code and Codex plugins and install via npx skills add storybookjs/mcp.
The plugins are marked experimental and require Storybook 10.5+. A third-party snapshot put the repo at 266 stars. Limitation: experimental status means workflows may change, and the skills assume a Storybook project rather than bootstrapping UI code from scratch.

Setup
