Starlight
Full-featured documentation framework built on Astro.
About
Starlight is the official documentation framework from the Astro team. It generates fast, accessible, SEO-friendly docs sites from Markdown, MDX and Markdoc content, with sidebar navigation, full-text search via Pagefind, internationalization with RTL support, syntax highlighting, dark mode and OpenGraph images built in.
Content is validated at build time with Zod schemas, and every component can be overridden through Astro configuration, with the wider Astro ecosystem (React, Vue, Svelte components as islands) available for customization. The repo has around 8,200 GitHub stars, and Starlight is itself the framework behind Astro's own documentation site.
