Pulumi
Infrastructure as code in real programming languages, now with the Neo AI platform engineer.
About
Pulumi lets engineers define cloud infrastructure in general-purpose languages — TypeScript, Python, Go, C#, Java — instead of a domain-specific config language like Terraform's HCL, with real loops, functions, conditionals, and unit testing. It covers 100+ cloud providers, with Pulumi Cloud handling state management, secrets, and CI/CD. Founded in 2017 by ex-Microsoft executives including Joe Duffy, the company has raised over $98 million, including a $41 million Series C in 2023.
Pulumi leaned hard into AI: Pulumi AI generates infrastructure code from natural-language prompts, and in September 2025 the company launched Neo, an autonomous AI agent for platform engineering that interprets natural-language infra requests, generates policy-compliant code, remediates violations, and opens pull requests — available via CLI, GitHub, and an MCP server for Cursor, VS Code, and Claude Code. In May 2026 Pulumi also shipped agent-native infrastructure with the first IaC provider for NVIDIA's AI Cluster Runtime.
