Permit.io
Full-stack authorization-as-a-service with no-code policies, policy-as-code, and approval flows for AI agents.
About
Permit.io is a full-stack authorization-as-a-service platform that lets developers embed a secure, flexible authorization layer in minutes instead of building permissions from scratch. Founded in 2021, it combines a no-code policy editor with policy-as-code managed through Git or APIs, so product teams can manage permissions without deep authorization expertise.
The company raised an $8M Series A in February 2024 led by Scale Venture Partners, with NFX, Verissimo Ventures, Roosh Ventures, and others participating, and counts Schneider Electric, SignifyHealth (part of CVS), and Salt Security among its customers. Alongside the funding it launched Permit.io Approval Flows, a product for fine-grained authorization and end-to-end access approval workflows that explicitly covers AI bots and agents acting on users' behalf.
What it can do
- Full-stack authorization with a no-code policy editor
- Policy as code managed via Git and APIs
- RBAC, ABAC, and ReBAC authorization models
- Approval Flows for access approvals by users and AI agents
- Audit logs and identity provider integrations
