Orca Security pioneered agentless cloud security with its patented SideScanning technology, which reads workload runtime block storage out of band and cross-references it with cloud provider APIs. That gives full-stack visibility into vulnerabilities, malware, misconfigurations, and exposed data across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes without installing agents, then prioritizes the critical few risks using environmental context.
Founded in 2019 by former Check Point leaders, Orca raised $550M in an extended Series C in 2021 at a $1.8B valuation, and by 2026 had raised over $1B total as a pre-IPO company. It competes directly with Wiz, which Google acquired for $32B, and has added AI-driven capabilities for anomaly detection and attack-path analysis.
