Moogsoft
AIOps pioneer correlating IT alerts into actionable incidents with ML.
Acquired — still operating
acquired by Dell Sep 2023; lives on as Dell APEX AIOps
About
Moogsoft pioneered the AIOps category, building a platform that applies patented statistical machine learning to correlate billions of daily IT events into a small set of actionable incidents. Founded in 2011 by the team behind Micromuse Netcool, it helped large enterprises cut alert noise, detect incidents earlier, and automate service assurance, raising more than 90 million dollars in venture funding along the way.
Dell Technologies acquired Moogsoft in September 2023 to strengthen its AIOps capabilities, and the platform now lives on as Dell APEX AIOps Incident Management. Dell describes Moogsoft as the original AIOps pioneer, with a portfolio of more than 50 patents covering ML-based event correlation and noise reduction.
What it can do
- Patented ML event correlation and noise reduction
- Automated incident clustering across monitoring tools
- Collaborative situation rooms for responders
- Proactive detection to avoid outages before they spread
Setup
Available through Dell APEX; connect monitoring and alerting sources so the correlation engine can ingest events.
