Modulos
Swiss AI governance platform, first with ISO 42001 certification.
About
Modulos AG, founded in 2018 in Zurich, is a Swiss AI governance company. It describes itself as the first AI governance platform to receive ISO/IEC 42001 product conformity certification, and serves regulated institutions preparing for the EU AI Act, DORA, and NIS2.
The platform manages AI products and services across their lifecycle: risk oversight, multi-framework compliance mapping, and runtime inspection that checks operational metrics against pass/fail conditions. A newer Agentic Runtime Inspection mode lets teams define compliance checks in natural language, executed by an AI agent with human-in-the-loop review.
Modulos has gained traction with European regulators: Slovenia's national insurance supervisor AZN selected the platform in 2026 to govern its AI systems and to run an AI sandbox for local insurers. Pricing starts around CHF 15,000 with a free starter tier.
