Krita AI Diffusion
Open-source plugin bringing Stable Diffusion inpainting and outpainting inside Krita.
About
Krita AI Diffusion is a free open-source plugin by developer Acly that wires generative AI directly into the Krita painting application. Using ComfyUI as its backend, it lets artists inpaint, outpaint, upscale and refine selected canvas regions from text prompts, with results blended into the surrounding artwork.
Standout modes include Live Painting, where the AI interprets the canvas in real time as you draw, plus ControlNet-style composition controls (scribble, pose, depth, segmentation), IP-Adapter style transfer, and per-layer prompt regions. It supports SD 1.5, SDXL, Illustrious, Flux 1 and 2, and Z-Image base models. Local GPU processing is free; an optional Interstice cloud service covers users without a GPU.
