Glean
Enterprise AI search and work assistant — permission-aware answers across all your apps.
About
Glean, founded in 2019 in Palo Alto by Arvind Jain (formerly of Google), is an enterprise AI search and 'Work AI' assistant that indexes 100+ workplace applications and returns permission-aware answers grounded in company knowledge. Its enterprise graph maps people, content, and activity; the Glean Assistant summarizes and finds information across connected systems without exposing documents a user cannot access. In 2025 the company expanded into agent technologies, and a February 2026 update added real-time voice, agent sandboxes, and proactive templates.
Glean raised $150 million in Series F in June 2025 led by Wellington Management at a $7.2 billion valuation, with total funding around $600 million+, and was reported at $300 million ARR by May 2026. Caveats: ARR and valuation figures are press-reported, not audited; and permission-aware retrieval is only as sound as the upstream ACLs it mirrors — a standard diligence point for this category.
