gh-stack Skill
Stacked PR workflows for agents, vendored from GitHub's gh-stack.
About
Packages the skill that GitHub ships inside its gh-stack CLI extension: creating, pushing, rebasing, syncing, and navigating stacks of dependent pull requests. The LinnJS repo vendors it unmodified at v0.1.0 with the upstream tag and tree SHA recorded in frontmatter, so you know exactly what you are getting.
It is a thin wrapper around the gh-stack extension itself — if you don't install the extension and authenticate gh, the skill has nothing to drive.
What it can do
- Stacked pull request creation
- Stack rebasing and syncing
- Navigation across dependent PRs
- Upstream-version-pinned skill content
Setup
- Install the gh CLI extension: gh extension install github/gh-stack
- Clone the skills repo: git clone https://github.com/LinnJS/skills.git
- Symlink the skill: ln -s "$PWD/skills/gh-stack" ~/.claude/skills/gh-stack
- Restart Claude Code
Prerequisites
GitHub CLI (gh) authenticated; gh-stack extension installed
