Fantastical
The Apple-ecosystem calendar: natural-language event creation, tasks, and scheduling built in.
About
Fantastical by Flexibits has been the reference calendar app on Apple platforms since 2011. Its signature is natural-language input — type or speak "Lunch with Priya Tuesday at 1 for an hour" and the event parses correctly. Around that core sit calendar sets, the scrolling DayTicker view, built-in tasks with reminders, automatic conference-link detection, weather forecasts, and Openings, its Calendly-style scheduling tool for letting others book time with you.
After years Apple-only, Flexibits expanded to Windows in late 2024 and to Googlebook (ChromeOS-adjacent Android) in October 2026, with phone/tablet Android support planned for 2027. Pricing is subscription: free tier with limited functionality, Premium at $56.99/year for individuals and $89.99/year for families, covering every platform under one subscription. The 4.2.x releases in 2026 add Siri AI support, MCP-friendly search results, and deeper Microsoft 365 integration — the app is clearly being kept current.
Honest limits: it is a premium calendar client, not a free utility — the free tier is thin; Android phone support is still pending; like all closed-source calendar clients it requires trusting Flexibits with calendar data; no published benchmarks.
