Showrunner
AI streaming platform that generates animated TV episodes from text prompts.
About
Showrunner is an AI-powered streaming platform from Fable Studio that turns short text prompts into full animated TV episodes. Its proprietary SHOW-2 model builds a script, designs scenes, animates characters, and generates voices, producing 2 to 16 minute episodes complete with AI-selected dialogue, shots, and story development. Users can edit scripts, camera angles, and voices, remix existing shows, and insert themselves as characters.
Fable publicly launched Showrunner in alpha in July 2025 after a closed alpha with 10,000 users, alongside an investment from Amazon's Alexa Fund. Ten original series were announced, including Exit Valley, Ikiru Shinu, and Sim Francisco. Viewing generated content is free; generating scenes and episodes costs subscription credits, with creators reportedly receiving around a 40% revenue share when others remix their original content.
