Drift
The conversational-marketing pioneer for B2B — chatbots, meeting booking, and ABM targeting, now inside Salesloft.
Acquired — still operating
Acquired by Salesloft in February 2024 and folded into its revenue platform; drift.com now points to Salesloft pages and a March 2026 report announced a sunset of the standalone brand. Treat as legacy.
About
Drift was one of the first conversational marketing and sales platforms for B2B revenue teams, built around one premise: turn website visitors into pipeline. Its playbooks combined scripted decision trees, human chat takeover, and calendar booking so qualified visitors could talk to a rep or book a demo without a form, with Salesforce/HubSpot sync writing conversations, lead scores, and booked meetings back to the CRM. Later versions added AI-written replies (Drift AI, Bionic chatbots) and ABM targeting. Salesloft acquired Drift in February 2024 and folded it into its revenue platform; after the Salesloft–Clari merger in late 2025, drift.com began pointing visitors to Salesloft pages, and a March 2026 report announced a sunset of the standalone brand (single-source report — treat as corroboration-pending). New buyers should therefore evaluate it as a legacy brand inside Salesloft rather than a standalone tool; alternatives for standalone conversational marketing include Qualified, HubSpot Chatflows, and Tidio.
What it can do
- Conversational playbooks for visitor qualification and routing
- In-chat meeting booking with rep calendar integration
- Live chat takeover from bot to human agent
- ABM targeting and website personalization
- Salesforce and HubSpot two-way sync for conversations and pipeline
- REST API and webhooks (devdocs.drift.com)

- Build playbooks for visitor qualification and meeting booking.

Trust score — 4/10
Scored 4.5/10 (METRICS tier, metrics-v1). Evidence: acquired by Salesloft in February 2024; drift.com now redirects to Salesloft pages; a March 2026 report announced a sunset of the standalone brand. Strengths: historically the category-defining conversational marketing product with deep Salesforce/HubSpot integration. Docked for: (1) acquired and reportedly being sunset — not a safe bet for new standalone deployments; (2) sunset report is single-sourced and unconfirmed; (3) no standalone signup or pricing anymore, locking buyers into the Salesloft suite. License: proprietary SaaS, closed-source.
