About
Diagram was an AI design startup founded by Jordan Singer that built experimental AI tools directly into the Figma workflow. Its best-known product, Magician, generated icons, images, and interface copy from prompts inside Figma, alongside Genius and Automator plugins exploring generative interface design.
Figma acquired Diagram in June 2023 and folded the team into its AI organization; Diagram no longer exists as a standalone product. It is included as a historical entry because its work became the foundation of Figma AI features like automatic layer renaming, content rewriting, and AI-assisted ideation. Designers looking for the continuation should use Figma AI rather than the old Diagram plugins.
