About
Dashtoon was an AI-powered comic creation platform from Dashverse (founded 2022, $13M raised) aimed at letting writers without drawing skills produce webtoons, manga, and manhwa. Dashtoon Studio offered an extensive character library for visual consistency, diverse art styles, and AI-native tools that converted storyboards into finished panels, removed backgrounds, fixed faces, and upscaled images.
Lifecycle note: Dashtoon Studio shut down on 15 August 2026 and now redirects creators to Frameo. The Dashtoon reader app for web, iOS, and Android continues to run with its catalog of vertical comics across romance, action, fantasy, horror, and other genres. This entry is retained as a historical record of the AI comic-creation wave.
