About

CropView is a Chrome extension that captures visible areas or full pages, lets you crop and annotate them, then hands the result to an AI assistant in one flow.

Built-in AI tasks include explaining a screenshot, drafting bug reports, generating test cases, or producing HTML from a visual reference. It needs no account and exports to PNG, JPG, or Markdown.

It is a workflow tool rather than a model — answer quality depends on whichever assistant you open (ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini).

What it can do

  • Visible-area and full-page capture
  • Crop with aspect-ratio lock
  • Arrow, text, highlight, and shape annotations
  • Built-in AI tasks (explain, summarize, bug report, test cases, HTML)
  • One-click send to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude
  • PNG, JPG, and Markdown export

Setup

  1. Install CropView from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Pin the extension icon for quick access.
  3. Click the icon and capture a visible area or full page.
  4. Crop and annotate with arrows, text, or highlights.
  5. Pick a built-in AI task or send the shot to ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude.

Prerequisites

Chrome or a Chromium-based browser.
