Claude Code on the Web
Create and manage autonomous Claude Code coding agents from a browser at claude.ai.
About
Claude Code on the web, launched in October 2025 for Pro and Max subscribers, brings Anthropic's AI coding agent to the browser. Developers connect GitHub, set a default environment, and submit a task; Claude then analyzes the repository, makes changes, runs tests, and prepares a branch for review.
The web experience complements the terminal-first CLI: sessions can be handed off between web and CLI with an Open in CLI flow, environments come prebuilt with common language toolchains plus hooks for dependency setup, and outbound network access is limited by default and configurable.
What it can do
- Start and monitor agentic coding tasks from the browser
- GitHub integration via scoped credentials
- Prebuilt environments with common language toolchains
- Seamless handoff between web sessions and the terminal CLI
Setup
Open claude.ai, start Claude Code on the web, connect GitHub, and configure a default environment. Pro or Max subscription required.
Prerequisites
An Anthropic Claude Pro or Max subscription and a GitHub account to connect repositories.
