Budibase
Open-source low-code platform with its own built-in database and automations.
About
Budibase is an open-source low-code platform for building internal tools, dashboards, and admin panels. Unlike builders that only sit on top of external data, it ships a built-in database with a spreadsheet-like interface alongside 40 or more connectors to external systems, plus a visual automation engine that runs workflows on row changes, webhooks, or schedules.
Recent work added AI app generation for prompt-based first drafts and public API access to apps, tables, rows, and automations. The repo has over 27,000 GitHub stars and is released under GPL v3, with a free self-hosted Community Edition and cloud hosting available. It is used by hundreds of thousands of teams ranging from SMEs to government organizations, and it generates real single-page applications rather than slow wrapper pages.
