Blacksmith
Purpose-built CI cloud for GitHub Actions plus Codesmith, an AI agent that auto-fixes failed checks.
About
Blacksmith started as a cloud provider for continuous integration workloads — running GitHub Actions on bare-metal, gaming-grade CPUs with storage and caching tuned specifically for CI rather than general-purpose cloud instances. Migration is a single-line change to a workflow file. In 2026 it broadened into AI with Codesmith, a cloud coding agent that works inside the validation loop: diagnosing CI failures, auto-fixing them, and keeping pull requests green. A planned Codesmith QA product will autonomously test changes before they merge. The company raised a $45M Series B in August 2026 led by Peak XV Partners at a $550M valuation, serving 5,000+ customers including Supabase, Clerk, Mercury, and Ashby.
The honest picture: Blacksmith is GitHub Actions-centric — teams on other CI systems get less value. The AI autofix features are the newest and least proven part of the platform, and some teams explicitly prohibit AI agent access to CI for cost-control reasons. Pricing beyond the base CI compute is usage-driven, and the largest customers reportedly spend over $1M/year, so costs scale steeply with usage.
What it can do

- Codesmith AI agent that diagnoses and auto-fixes CI failures
- Codesmith QA autonomous pre-merge testing (planned)
- Single-line workflow migration from standard runners
- Hundreds of thousands of managed cores with CI-tuned caching
