Bardeen is an AI agent delivered as a browser extension, aimed at automating the repetitive clicking, copying, and pasting of knowledge work. Founded in 2020, it has raised about $25.3M from investors including Insight Partners plus strategic investments from Dropbox Ventures and HubSpot Ventures.
In May 2025 the company launched its Work Intelligence Platform, extending beyond simple playbooks toward agents that observe and learn workflows. The extension form factor means it works where the work happens, in the browser, but it is inherently browser-bound and less suited to backend or scheduled automation.
