About

AskCodi is an AI coding assistant that stands out for being model-agnostic: instead of locking users into one vendor, it lets developers switch between GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, and other models instantly, passing through provider pricing with no markup. It supports 20+ programming languages, ships IDE extensions for VS Code, JetBrains, Neovim, Sublime, Zed, and Cursor, and includes Codi Chat plus a workbook system for organizing generated tests and documentation alongside code.

In 2025–2026 AskCodi expanded beyond code completion into agentic workflows with an Agent Builder and a community Marketplace for sharing multi-step agents that combine sub-agents, API calls, and MCP server connections — and its agents integrate natively into Continue.dev and Cline environments. Pricing moved to a token-based Flexible plan (from $5/month for ~4M tokens up to $200/month for ~160M) with rollover, plus a free tier with 100K one-time tokens. Caveats: it is not open source, and pricing tiers have changed frequently, so current plans should be confirmed on askcodi.com.
